Conclave has added podcasts of contributors and performers reading their work in the new Multimedia section of the Conclave website.

The recordings were originally part of the Fall 2008 Around the Coyote Festival in Chicago. Several of the pieces from Conclave’s inaugural issue were recorded by writers or performers and played in the festival hall to complement the visual arts being displayed.

More podcasts will be uploaded to the site soon.

The Conclave Journal site has been updated to include online content!

• Read selected writing from the first issue.
• View black and white photography that appeared in Issue 1: 2008.

You can now follow Conclave on Twitter (username ConclaveJournal). This will probably be of greater interest as we get into the submission period in April. Meanwhile, check us out to keep up with the latest news.

We have added a Multimedia section, including a YouTube channel to our site featuring the work of editors, advisors, and contributors.

Conclave: A Journal of Character closed its first submission period at 11:59pm on Tuesday, July 1, 2008. The editors will now finish up their reading and evaluation, and writers will be notified as soon as possible.

In the process of seeking out the best character-focused photography for Conclave: A Journal of Character, we have created a Flickr group where photographers can post their black and white photographs for consideration.
